Spoons

My friend Mei-Ling sent this to me. It is such an effective way to explain my day to day existence that I felt as if I had to share it with you. I hope you'll read it and get an understanding of what it is to live with an invisible chronic illness that impacts everyday activities.

I read it earlier today, but it helped me understand things better. I go nuts not having enough time as it is, I can't imagine how it would be if I had an illness slowing me down all of the time.

It can get depressing at times, but to be honest, it's just how God made me. As long as I keep praising Him and worshipping Him I'm doing what I was created to do.

I had 8 spoons when I woke up today, I'm already down to 5 and it's only 9 am. I need to go lie down for a while.
